Dr. Rupaj Kumar Nayak received his Ph.D. degree in Mathematics from Utkal University, India, in 2008. He had held faculty positions at Department of Mathematics, International Institute of Information Technology, Bhubaneswar, India (2009-2012, and 2013 -Till date). He had held the position of Research Fellow at Nanyang Technological University, Singapore (2012-2013). He has a wide research experience in the various areas of optimization. More specifically, his research has focused on optimization on the non-convex plane. The problems he studies may involve a single decision-maker. The decisions may be expressed as either real or integer variables, and the requirements may be expressed as deterministic or random constraints. Using the methodologies, he uses optimization methods in the areas that have some real-life problems.
Prof. Nayak teaches Engineering Mathematics, Optimization in Engineering, Discrete Mathematics & Numerical Mathematics. His areas of interest include Optimization using Interior Point Method, Quadratic Programming, Semidefinite Programming Problem, Support Vector Machine&Multi Choice Programming Problem. He is a member of IACSIT.
