A short biography of the speaker:
Dr. Malaya Kumar Nath is Assistant Professor in Department of ECE of National Institute of Technology Puducherry. Dr. Malaya Kumar Nath received B.E. in Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering from BPUT Odisha and M.Tech. in Electronics and Communication Engineering (Signal Processing) from the Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati. He received his Ph.D. in Signal Processing from the Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati. He joined the National Institute of Technology Puducherry, Karaikal, in July 2013, where he currently holds an Assistant Professor position in the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering. He has more than 12 years of excellent experience as an instructor and researcher in medical signal processing, image processing, and machine/deep learning.
His research interests include the diverse fields of signal processing, image processing, and machine/deep learning with applications in healthcare. He has supervised three Ph.D., five M.Tech., and 24 B.Tech. scholars in signal processing. He has authored or co-authored over 57 technical papers published in peer-reviewed journals and conferences. These include 29 journal papers, 27 conference papers, and 02 book chapters. His publications have around 875 citations. h index of 18 and i10 index of 30. He has served on review boards for around 21 scientific journals.
He has delivered more than 27 talks in conferences, workshops, short-term courses, and institutes. He has organized numerous conferences and seminars, including AICTE ATAL FDP, GIAN, Digital India, and others.
